These 31 municipalities have been providing spatial development related tasks since the mid 90ies. The cooperation began 1996 when the first organisation, entitled Spatial Development Association of the Town of Sárvár and its Surroundings. This association united seven further municipalities apart from the present ones.
November 2000. saw the creation of an association bearing the same name, but belonging to the town of Sárvár, with regional economic and tourism development as the main objective.
Since 01st January 2006. the work n the association is assisted by a work organisation, including two colleagues dealing with tasks of spatial and regional development. Due to last year’s reshaping and restructuring the vast majority of tasks was not related to spatial development, however, providing certain public services and their implementation on micro-regional level boosts the development of individual municipalities and the accession of the inhabitants to high quality public services.
